WOYWW 5th anniversary

Good morning to all our WOYWW friends around the globe!
Thanks to that lovely blogger Julia, we have been linking up with crafty bloggers around the globe for 5 years. We have "met" such talented crafters during our mad Wednesday blog hop and, even if we haven't met you in real life, we really feel that we have a whole set of friends that we would never have known without WOYWW.

So, thanks Julia and long may WOYWW keep going.

Annie and I got together and posted our ATCs out to all who said they would like to swap.
I will post out to the *name below me on Mr Linky later today.
Thanks to those who have sent ATCs to me - I will post them on WOYWW next week.
It is so lovely to see what arty, crafty skills everyone uses to create the little ATC works of art.

I hope you like the birthday collage above and that you enjoy a very happy 5th anniversary!

WOYWW

Good morning all!

I am having a good sort out and putting a few bits and bobs on ebay in the hope of making room in some of my cupboards.

So, there is  a pretty little vintage table cloth, washed, starched and ironed ready to go and a few of my handmade brooches mounted onto a card.
Most of the brooches are made using my embellishing machine to "dumf" a variety of wools, silks and fancy bits together. I added a few hand stitches or beads to finish them off.

The pretty random wool is waiting for me to get going on another little knittie or two. (See post below)

On the left are two ATCs which have already winged their way from Australia for me - isn't that lovely. I will display them later once we have celebrated the WOYWW 5th anniversary.
My ATCs are in the wallet below, ready to take to Annie's so that we can post them out together.
Don't forget to leave me a comment if you would like to swap with me - I am sure I will have  enough - er well that is providing not ALL of the 150 or so WOYWW buddies want one. lol!!

Today is a twinnie day so I will be down at Annie's enjoying a fun time.
Thanks for calling and leaving lovely comments.
I will try to get round a few more desks tomorrow.
Have a good week.

Finished by Friday - so cute they make me smile!

I promised that I would show you my knitties!
These are the latest ones.
The little hoodie pattern always knits up nicely so I have made various sizes and boy/girl colours.
The little girly cardies are cute too I think.

OK - so I will nip back out to enjoy a bit of gardening in the sunshine!
Have a great weekend and join in with Annie's Friday smile over on her "A stitch in time blog"

Thanks for dropping by

WOYWW

 Good morning all.
I hope you have been managing to dodge the heavy Spring showers - we have certainly had lots of them over the last week but the sunshine in between has also been lovely.
My table is quite tidy this week as I have been busy with other things and knitting in the evenings. I will post some of my knitties on Friday.
So - on my table is one of the pretty little vintage embroidered table cloths I found at the car boot and a jolly little tin that had the buttons in that you can see below. I just love a button tin don't you?

The patterns are unused ones from my stash that I have put on ebay. I just thought they might be of use to some of the folk new to sewing following the upsurge after the Sewing Bee.

The little pink purse is bursting with ATCs ready for the 5th WOYWW anniversary. Let me know if you would like to swap. I think Annie and I will post ours together to save postage.

Well that's it for this week.

Thanks to all who left me a comment re sunflowers v poppies - Maxine was amazed at how many loved her sunflower picture! She now thinks she will make another one for her exhibition.

Have a good week.

WOYWW

 Good morning all.
This week we have mostly been needle felting!
On my desk is the big bag of wool rovings that I use for wet felted backgrounds and needle felting.
Maxine came over for a "dumfing" day on Monday. (Dumfing is our name for needle felting because it's the noise the embellishing machine makes as it dumfs through the rovings into the background piece).
We had a lovely day - chatting, dumfing and oo-ing and ah-ing over the scan pics of my grandchild to be!
As usual Maxine did most of the dumfing and I was the "facilitator" ie made the lunch, the drinks, set out the crafts and packed it all away again. I don't mind. It is so lovely to watch her being crafty and chilling out.
Now here is the question....

Sunflowers?
 Or.....

Poppies?
I love both but wondered which you like - just a bit of market research. We are going to do an exhibition of our textile work in Montgomery at the end of July and I think we need to stock up on a few different designs.

So please tell me which you prefer - in fact any comments would be appreciated.
I know you will be honest and say what you think and we love to hear from you.

Don't forget to let me know if you want to swap ATCs this time too.
It will soon be our 5 year anniversary of this wonderful blog sharing WOYWW and a good time to share some of our crafts around the globe!

Have a good week.
Thanks for calling.

Friday smile

This week it is a real live creature who is enjoying his breakfast in my garden.
I watched him dig up an acorn and then sit up on my fence munching away at it.
